01

Our editorial purpose

Acoustic Neuroma Warrior exists to help patients and caregivers feel less alone and better prepared. Our content combines survivor-led perspective, patient-friendly education, practical support, and community encouragement.

02

How we separate experience from education

Personal stories describe individual lived experience. Educational articles explain general information and questions patients may wish to discuss with qualified clinicians. Neither is presented as personalized medical advice or a prediction of another person’s outcome.

03

Medical balance and treatment choices

ANW presents Watch & Wait, radiation, and microsurgery as distinct management pathways. We do not present one path as right for everyone. Treatment information should acknowledge individual factors, reasonable alternatives, uncertainty, and the role of an experienced healthcare team.

04

Sources, review, and updates

When medical or technical claims are included, ANW aims to use current, authoritative sources and plain-language explanations. Publication and update dates are shown where appropriate. Content may be corrected or refreshed as evidence and clinical practice change.

  • Priority is given to authoritative medical organizations, clinical guidance, and primary research when appropriate
  • Sources must support the claim they accompany
  • A clinician review is never implied unless it has actually occurred and is clearly identified
  • Important decisions should be confirmed with the reader’s treating professionals
05

Human responsibility and editorial tools

ANW may use digital or AI-assisted tools for drafting, organization, accessibility, image preparation, or production support. Abigail Villarin Cauilan retains human editorial approval. These tools do not provide personalized medical advice, replace source checking, or change the lived experience being shared.

06

Corrections and community feedback

ANW welcomes respectful questions about accuracy, clarity, attribution, and accessibility. Material corrections should be made promptly and update information should be reflected where helpful. Readers may contact ANW through the Contact page.

07

Advertising and affiliate transparency

ANW does not currently place active advertising or affiliate recommendations in its published articles. If either is introduced later, commercial material will be clearly labeled, kept visually separate from medical education, and limited so it does not overwhelm the reader.

  • Affiliate relationships will be disclosed near relevant links
  • Payment will not determine medical framing or editorial conclusions
  • Advertising will not be styled to look like clinical guidance
  • A commercial relationship will never be presented as a medical endorsement
08

Digital resources, partnerships, and support

Future digital guides, sponsorships, donations, memberships, or partnerships will be introduced only when they support ANW’s mission. Paid resources will be described honestly, sponsored work will be labeled, and free patient education will remain clearly distinguishable from commercial offers.

09

Our reader-first promise

Monetization must never undermine patient trust. ANW will prioritize clarity, dignity, accessibility, privacy, medical balance, and the needs of people navigating fatigue, dizziness, hearing changes, scanxiety, brain fog, and recovery.
