Why imaging continues

MRI may be used during observation and after radiation or surgery. The schedule and imaging protocol depend on your treatment, residual tumor if present, stability, symptoms, and specialist recommendations.

Before the scan

  • Confirm timing and whether contrast is planned
  • Share implant, pregnancy, kidney, or contrast concerns with the imaging team
  • Ask when and how results will be discussed
  • Write down questions before the appointment
