Radiation is generally intended to control future tumor growth rather than physically remove the tumor. The method and schedule depend on tumor and patient factors.

Follow-up matters

MRI monitoring continues after treatment. Imaging can change over time, and your radiation team should explain what they expect to see and how they distinguish treatment response from concerning change.

Possible effects

Hearing, balance, facial or trigeminal nerve symptoms, fatigue, and other effects should be discussed with your team. Individual risks depend on the treatment plan and your situation.
